The three ASICS Core Vests

Black Core Vest, £34.99. The default. It works with every pair of Core shorts on the site and it is the one to buy if you are buying a single vest. Worth knowing: there is no Black vest set, so black is a separates only choice here.

Brown Stone Core Vest, £34.99. The more interesting colour, and the one that reads less like gym kit. It has an obvious partner in the Brown Stone 5in shorts, and it sits well next to the Sandstorm and Cream end of the range.

Aegean Blue Core Vest, £27.99. The cheapest ASICS top at Tempo by some margin, and the best low risk way to find out whether you get on with the range at all. £27.99 is less than the Sport Half-Zip and £7 less than either of the other two vests.

When a vest beats a t-shirt

Upper body training. If you are pressing, pulling or doing anything overhead, sleeves are the thing that gets in the way and stays wet. A vest solves that without you thinking about it again.

Both run S, M, L and XL, the same four sizes used across every piece of ASICS apparel here, so your Core tee size is the sensible starting point for your vest size.
